Forget all them negative comments. I just placed my 3rd order. I have a large saltwater tank and my fish starts attacking the cube as soon as I drop it in my tank. A lot of my fish are well over $100 and they are healthy and just loves this product. I recommend this to any kind of fish tank you have. I also have a fresh water tank, and the results are the same. I'll BE BACK...for more!!!EDIT, 2022: I PURCHASED AGAIN IN 2022 AND THERE ARE NO BURNT LOOKING CUBES. THEY ARE NOTICEABLY A LIGHTER COLOR THAN THE PREVIOUS ORDERS AS SEEN IN THE LAST PHOTO. THESE ARE A BIT DRIER AND EASIER TO CRUMBLE BUT THEY WERE VERY WELL PACKED AND ALMOST NO POWDER IN THE BAG.I've purchased these brine shrimp cubes 4 or 5 times. They are always fresh, firm cubes, not dry and crumbly like the small jars at the pet stores. I feed koi fry and the fry always love them. I would give five stars for the product, but it is disturbing to me that the seller responds so rudely to people who say their cubes look burned. Address the question, don't insult the customer for asking. I've included a picture. Some of my cubes look burned too. It doesn't seem to affect the quality, but the seller should explain what this is so that customers understand.the product smells burnt, is dark red/brown and none of my cichlids will eat it. Shame on me for not reading their return policy which says:*** Return policy*** Return shipping cost and True Original Shipping Cost may be deducted from refund.*** There may be a 20 to 50% restocking Fee for any of the following reasons.*** Return Reason of "Inaccurate Website Description", This listing and it's descriptions are 100% accurate.*** "Item defective, doesn't work or doesn't fit", "No longer needed", "Bought by mistake", "Better price available".*** Return Reason: Item defective, doesn't work or doesn't fit, Fish Food can not be defective, Fish Food is Biological, not mechanical or electrical.*** There are no guarantees any Fish, Coral, Amphibians or any Live animal will consume any particular food.*** Returns are to be unopened, un used and in original package and packing.*** 20 to 50% in some cases 100% restocking Fee may apply depending on returned Product condition and circumstances.*** Any returned Food Products must be undamaged and ordered/shipped weights, Damaged or less then, refund will be calculated accordingly***So basically they will find as many reasons as needed to "discourage" returns. Then if you have the audacity to actually send their "garbage" back to them they will apply whichever terms they choose from their terms of the returns policy which cannot be contested because they have the product back and can do whatever they like. They will subtract actual shipping costs BOTH WAYS from what you originally paid, charge restocking fees and other misc fees and the product must be "unopened" as well. How can you know about the product issues without opening the box?????This is pure BS. I am not going to send this back to these guys then be notified that my refund is $0.03 based on their terms and their math. They have the product and when they slap another label on and ship it out they have doubled their money. I'll throw it out before I "give" it back to themI have re-ordered this product multiple times. I have breeder angle fish and this food keeps them in peek condition. It is the best price for the quantity and quality. Tip: Always keep the zip lock bag (that it comes in) sealed. I have a smaller plastic screw cap bottle that is big enough to hold about a dozen cubes. I fill it from the plastic zip lock bag and feed the fish from the plastic screw cap bottle. Never expose the food to the air until ready to feed, otherwise the humidity will quickly absorb into the food and ruin it. I live in PA and the food is shipped from CA. I placed an order on a Friday at noon and received it on Monday via USPS first class free shipping - so the shipping time is much faster than the time stated. Again - this is fantastic top quality food that I have recommended to all my fellow aquarium enthusiasts. When I give them a cube to try on their fish... they come back and say that their fish attacked it like it was candy... lolThe food is a little bit big maybe cut in halfMy fish didn't seem to immediately regard these as food. First I tried dropping the cubes in the water. The cubes floated around and the fish pecked at them a few times, but didn't seem interested. I tried pre-soaking them in tank water. Many of the fish would eat it. But most of it ended up going into the filter.Meh.My fish had a very mediocre response to these brine shrimp cubes. I expected them to go crazy over them and nobody really did. Some liked them OK, some won’t eat them at all. My dogs and cats were extremely excited about the smell, but the fish, not so much. The cubes smelled meaty, slightly briny, but not rancid at all, just rather typical of a meaty fish food. I was a bit surprised at the overall mediocre feeding response. Wouldn’t buy again, but you may have better luck. I don’t think it’s a bad product, may be better for marine fish?Smells terrible, fish love it.
